New House Fun

As most of you know we purchased our first house in January and have been doing some remodeling on it before we move in. I am going to post some update photos to show what an amazing job Wes and our family and friends are doing. To say that my husband is handy is a huge understatement. After almost seven years of marriage I truly believe there is nothing that my husband could not fix our build. Even if he has no idea how to beforehand he will research it and figure it out. You could look at him and see that he definitely is suited for his white collar job he is training for but he also has this amazingly skilled other half that can create and fix anything with his two hands. He is not only a great daddy to our little girls, who know he hung the moon but also a fantastic supporter and friend to me. I dare say that his ability to fix anything is quite sexy :) Wes removing the old tile and parkay(sp?) flooring from the kitchen

The finished kitchen with new paint (thanks Dad) and beautiful tile laid by my wonderful husband after taking one class at Home Depot :)

The laundry room newly tiled and painted. Wes also built a step down and tiled it because the original step was equal to two steps down at once.

The girls favorite activity in the empty living room is running in circles

Chasing fun!

After dropping some things off at the house the other day Alyssa Kate said "Mommy it would be fun to go play at our new park on this sunny day, right?" I had to agree so we played for about 20 minutes and the girls had a blast!

While she looks terrified she actually loved it and did it a dozen times :)

The house is looking good! I agree with you - it is wonderful having a handy husband. And it saves a lot of $$$ too! Can't wait to see the house one day.

Wes is awesome. Handy Manny can't hold a candle to him! We can't wait to see all the work he has done.

Way to go Wes! Isn't it nice to have that kind of renaissance man...not all brains, not all brawn, just the right mix. Attractive, I must agree. :) The kitchen looks fantastic. I'm sure the rest of the house will look just as good!
