My new camera

You could say that my only hobby is photographing my girls. I love capturing all of their fun moments! Over Halloween my Sony took a dive off of our stroller and the viewfinders was busted. I have wanted a nice SLR digital camera for a while but this fall hastened when I might get it. After a few weeks of research I settled on Nikon D5000. I purchased one Black Friday at Bedford Camera. This camera is my Christmas + 30th birthday present from Wes. My parents also bought me a great zoom lens as a 30th b-day present, so I am set. The camera is great and while I still do not know how to use most features I am learning. All the pictures in this post were taken with it.

Christmas Pictures take-1

I was off this past Saturday for the Razorback game and we decided that we would attempt to get Christmas pictures of the kids. Last year we bought the girls and Jake coordinating outfits and I could not wait to see them on. Ashley (my sister in law) and I hung a black sheet over my parents fence and went to town. Some of them are really good and some are just funny. It was mighty interesting getting a 3 years old, 17month old and 8 month to do anything at the same time.

After every one was back in their regular clothes I realized we did not get any of just my two girls so next week we will give it another whirl.

Fall Fun

Friday night we had a small bonfire for a few friends and their kiddos. It was a lot of fun and perfect weather! We roasted hot dogs and smores. The babies all ended up asleep inside the house and the big kiddos fell asleep next to the fire on their parents laps. It was perfect!

I walked in the living room this morning and found this scene...it was so sweet I could not pass up the shot. It is a little fuzzy because I had to be far away and sneaky so they wouldn't see me and stop.

Big Jake came to play with us today and we played outside most of the day. It is so fun to see the girls really start to play together. Jake liked the swing and Alyssa Kate loved swinging him.

Caroline's newest trick is to climb on the slide. It is terrifying because at times she is not successful and I am afraid of what bone might break :)
