San Antonio Part III

Sunday we went to Sea World. The last time I was there it was a fun place with cool animals, now it is a huge theme park with rides, multiple water parks and still really cool animals. The girls had a great time and I had a blast! The first thing we did was feed the dolphins. It was amazing, to touch these beautiful animals was too cool. The girls wanted to try but after the dolphins opened their mouths and showed thier many teeth it was a little too intimidating.

Everyone was pretty cool before the dolphin opened its mouth

Then Caroline freaked out

Alyssa Kate gave it a whirl

The little guys loved the fish

Excited about Shamu coming out

Gorgeous

Taking a peek at us

Dual coolness

Alyssa Kate's favorite part was what she called the "posing"

Really great climbing structure with tunnels and slides. The girls loved it, the only bad part was that I lost sight of them for a bit and slightly freaked.

There is a cool show called Azul which had dolphins, a beluga whale, water dancers and divers. It is a great show with lots of unexpected twists and turns.

We drove the full trip from San Antonio to Little Rock on Monday. Even with stops it only took us 10 hours. The girls did wonderfully and thanks to the DVD player and the fun coloring books Mimi put together for them, it was very smooth.

I love this picture, she looks so sweet asleep :)

San Antonio Part II

Saturday we celebrated my Great Uncle Jim's 90th birthday party. It was a great time reconnecting with my dads extended family. My grandfather (dad's father) died when he was 13 and his uncle Jim stepped in and helped his mom take care of business and transition into single motherhood.

This is the view from our hotel room...it was such a nice place

Uncle Jim (birthday boy), Aunt Jeanne (my grandmothers sister), who have been married for 67 years and my dad and his sister Marilyn.

San Antonio

The girls and I traveled to San Antonio with my parents this weekend. My dad's uncle is celebrating his 90th birthday, so they are having a family reunion to celebrate with him. We split our trip into two days coming which made the 11 hours very tolerable. On Monday when we go home we are doing it all in one day...pray for us :). This is some of the pics from our first few adventures. We are having the birthday party this afternoon, then going to Sea World tomorrow.

Caroline likes talking to her computer

Thank goodness for the DVD player

On the Riverwalk, it was 107*

The view from our hotel is awesome

We took the girls to the Children's Museum this morning, it was lots of fun and air conditioned...big plus in San Antonio

Excavating artifacts

Really cool tree house

We walked down to the Alamo after the museum and it was over 100* at that point, as evidence by the not smiling faces
